There’s as many ways to experience snowboarding as there are ways to tweak a method, and in February 2020 - just before the world stopped turning - Mathieu Crepel and filmmaker Samuel McMahon set out to Central Hokkaido, Japan to pass some time on the road and live the mellow life.

Armed with the finest of vehicular homes - the Isuzu Rodeo - they set out to find the deepest powder to put the new Nidecker Mellow through its paces, scoring inland barrels and endless frozen right hand points along the way.
Experiencing isolation before it was trendy and lucking out with untracked fields wherever they turned, the verdict was simple: the mellow life is the one for them.

Re-outlined with a new shape for 2020/21, the Mellow remains a team-favourite for backcountry adventuring. The new, tighter sidecut unleashes more power and precision in to slashes, turns and hacks, whilst the surfy camrock gives tonnes of float for gaining speed in steep ‘n’ deep pow, or maintaining it when the terrain mellows out.
