A bonafide legend of Japanese freeriding, Shin grew up shredding the forests of Nagano. Since then, he's been chasing powder lines around the globe. His insane edge control has earned him podium spots at the World Heli Challenge and Freeride World Tour, but it’s Shin’s soulful approach to snowboarding that really sets him apart – leading to collaborations with Travis Rice on film projects including ‘The Fourth Phase’ and ‘IKIGAI’. These days, when he's not dropping into Alaskan spines, you might find Shin cruising Japan in the tiny house he built himself – a lifestyle inspired by his good buddy and fellow snow nomad, Mike Basich.
